As a charming ski resort, Cauterets offers all types of glide thanks to its two ski areas : The Cirque du Lys where you can practice skiing and snowboarding and The  Pont d'Espagne a breathtaking site nestled in the very heart of the Pyrenean National Park for lovers of cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and sledging.  
After skiing you can wander through the streets of Cauterets and avail of the numerous activities the village has to offer - sport, fitness and wellbeing, educational and cultural events for children and adults.

20 pistes including 4 green, 7 blue, 7 red, 2 black served by 2 telecabins, 4 chair lifts (among which 1 declutching one) and 5 ski lifts - 1 snow-park : an area open to everyone for all types of glide - 1 slalom stadium - 3 area freestyle- 2 carpets for beginners - 4 ski schools - 2 fast food- 1 heated picnic room - 1 fast food - 1 locker.
Access to the Lys domain using the Lys telecabin at the middle of the village or the Courbet telecabin at 5 km from the village.

Handiski

The Cirque du Lys pistes are accessible for disabled person from the village by the Lys telecabin or at 5 km by the Courbet telecabin. An indoor city car park is located in town center. The 3 ski schools have offices in the village or directly on the pistes : cerified instructors and available ski equipment on place.

Main events

Christmas and New Year weeks:  many surprises and activities for young and older ones. New Year Eve’s evening and fireworks.
December : World Snowboard Day, international snowboard celebration, on the HO5 freestyle in the Lys amphitheater.
January : Sudwestern session amateur competition.
 

Access

2 car parks for mobile home spots (in the entrance of the city and on the road of Pont d'Espagne) with 50 spots mobile home park. Winter caravanning park + camping-cars spots at the camp site in Les Glères.
By road : Highway until the Tarbes exit, then 4-lane road up to Argelès-Gazost and finally a main road. From Bordeaux (278 km), from Paris (894 km), from Nantes (602 km), from Toulouse (204 km).
Railway station : Lourdes at 30 km (TGV) then a shuttle at each train arrival up to Cauterets.
Airport : Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées at 35 km, Pau at 80 km, Toulouse 204km.
