The Pont d'Espagne, a "Petit Canada" at the heart of the Pyrenees National Park, is the kingdom of cross-country skiing and snowshoe hiking in the majestic surrounding of a preserved nature. Access by road (7 km of the Cauterets village) up to the Puntas car park (paying car park but fee reimbursed for skiers) or by shuttle from the village (several daily round trips). 36 km of cross-country skiing trails on 5 loops from 1 to 15 km including a 1,5 km schooling trail - snowshoeing and mountain skiing trails - 5 downhill skiing pistes (6 km) including 2 green, 1 blue, 1 red, 1 black served by 1 chair lift and 2 ski lifts.

Since 2004, Cauterets is "Station Kid" labelled and is committed to abide to 6 quality criteria for welcoming children and their family: specific and adapted activities, a personalised welcome, adapted equipments, permanent security and a real respect for the environment.
A booklet dedicated to children and called "mon Kid Touristique" lists all the activities meant for them all year round.

Access

A 50 spots mobile home park. Winter caravanning park + camping-cars spots at the camp site in Les Glères.
By road : Highway until the Tarbes exit, then 4-lane road up to Argelès-Gazost and finally a main road. From Bordeaux (278 km), from Paris (894 km), from Nantes (602 km), from Toulouse (204 km).
Railway station : Lourdes at 30 km (TGV) then a shuttle at each train arrival up to Cauterets.
Airport : Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées at 35 km, Pau at 80 km.
