At the foot of the Pic du Midi de Bigorre, the Grand Tourmalet offers you the biggest skiing area in the French Pyrenees. Come and discover a two-sided resort : on the West end, you'll find Barèges with its traditional charm and the activities of a Pyrenean village, and on the East end, at the very heart of the ski domain, lays La Mongie with all the conveniences of a ski in, ski out resort, in a high mountain environment.

70 pistes - 34 lifts : 1 cable car, 14 chair lifts including 3 declutching 6-seater, 16 ski lifts and 3 moving carpets, representing 32 km of lifts (flow : 42 000 skiers/hour) - 232 snow guns - 4 ski school - heated picnic room - 5 high-altitude restaurants - luge piste - 1 new sliding area, boardercross, tables, big air, rails - For riders : 1500 m of difference in height at the Pic du Midi for a long and fabulous downhill glide.

Mini club ESF for every children (3 to 5 years) who want to have fun and try skiing. 
In Piou Piou club all is done so that skiing is a pleasure and a play.
The Piou Piou Club in la Mongie is :
- a protected area and a specific material (small ski lift, figurine like marmots...).
- ski instructors to supervise and educate the little ones.

In Campan-Payolle (16 km) : cross-country skiing and snowshoeing ; dogs sled.

January : The snowshoeing day.
February 2nd / 3rd :  Open Altitoy.
March :  The Grand Tourmalet / Pic du Midi Derby. Ski competition off-piste by team.

Access

Barèges :
4 car parks representing 1205 spots (1 indoor representing 110 spots). 1 winter caravanning park on site.
By road: A64 "la Pyrénéenne" Tarbes exit, then N21 until Lourdes, in the direction of Argelès-Gazost, then Luz saint Sauveur and D918.
Train station: Lourdes at 40 km - SNCF shuttle from Lourdes to Barèges.
Airport: Tarbes at 50 km.

La Mongie :
Car parks : 3300 spots.
Mobile home: 50 spots in the resort - spots with terminals in the Artigues city campsite.
Winter caravaning park: at 8 km , 100 spots - at 25 km (Bagnères) , 250 spots.
By road: A64 " la pyrénéene".from Biarritz n°12 Tarbes-Ouest exit - from Toulouse n°14 exit in Tournay.
Train station: Tarbes (train arrival), then bus shuttle to Bagnères de Bigorre and La Mongie.
Airport: Tarbes at 50 km or Pau at 75 km.
